How to say good mornign in Quechua:
- Allin p’unchay kachun, which literally means ‘May it be a good day’ or ‘May you have a good day’.
- Sumaq p’unchay kachun, which can literally be translated: ‘May it be a beautiful day’ or ‘May it be a pleasant day’, sumaq is a word full of meaning, it refers to something beautiful, but not only in appearance, but to something pleasant, exquisite.
On the other hand, it should also be clarified that the Spanish form ‘buenos dias’ is commonly used among Quechua-speakers, but the 2 expressions I mentioned above are perfectly understandable and express more affection in the mind of the Quechua-speaker.
